It took a lot of time to draw up that floor plan the other day, but today that work is going to pay off! It’s time to start planning…
Pay attention to these 4 things and you’ll end up with a room that you want to spend time in.
Focal Point: A focal point is the first thing you notice when entering a room. It may be the main conversation area near a fireplace, a bed in the bedroom, etc. It’s a good starting place when planning a furniture arrangement.
Traffic Flow: Consider how people will walk through the room and allow enough space between furniture for easy access throughout.
Conversation Areas & Activities: It’s nice to have a main seating area and one or two additional smaller areas for activities such as reading, games, eating, etc. Make sure to check your questions and lists from the other day! This is about your lifestyle!
Assignment: Print this sheet of furniture pieces (courtesy of APG & Decorate Fabulously!) and cut out the furniture pieces for tomorrows assignment.
